Peter Mawby

Peter Mawby

Ornithologist, wildlife expert and research ecologist. Peter's interest in the environment and ornithology was encouraged during his schooldays and as an undergraduate at Cambridge Univeristy where he was to lead the first of many expeditions.

His teaching career involved working in England and Scotland, culminating with his final appointment as Headmaster of Lancaster Royal Grammar School where he spent eighteen years.

When not lecturing he is involved with a reserach group at Lancaster University studying the environmental impact of agriculture on bird life in the Yorkshire Dales Natianal Park.
