The Cambridge Society of York are pleased to invite you to attend their Annual Dinner, which is being held once again at the Hilton Hotel in York, on Thursday 10 May 2018 at 7pm for 7.30pm. Guests are invited to join us for a sherry drinks reception from 7pm, (or a soft drink), before our dinner commences at 7.30pm. Wine is available from the bar for you to purchase before the dinner, should you wish to do so. We do not reserve seating, please feel free to sit  where you like.

Bookings are open to all members of the Society and their guests and you are kindly reminded that all subscriptions for 2018 are now due. If you cannot attend the dinner, please do renew your subscription by following the instructions on the booking form, thank you. New members are also very welcome to join, so please do come along and join the society too if you would like to.

Dinner menu

Starter

1. Parma ham, beetroot, goat’s cheese and pine nut salad
2. Water melon and minted melon with maple vinaigrette and apple sorbet
3. Leek and potato soup

Main Course

1. Pork loin steak, creamed savoy cabbage with smoked bacon, sage mash and juniper berry jus
2. Baked filet of sea bass, new potato Lyonnaise, leek and caper berry  beurre blanc
3. Red onion and goats cheese tart with seasonal vegetables and potatoes

Dessert

1. Apple crumble – with warm crème anglaise
2. Selection of cheese and biscuits
3. Fresh fruit salad with mango sorbet
