The Cambridge and Oxford Alumni Societies of San Diego hosted the Second Annual Lawn Bowling Challenge in Balboa Park on Saturday, 7 October. 

Cambridge alumni and friends put up a valiant effort against those from the 'Other Place'. In the end, the match was declared a draw due to the excessive heat and lack of shade on the bowling green. Bragging rights will be split equally amongst all involved until next year's match. 

After the match, all players and spectators enjoyed afternoon tea, which was followed by drinks and dinner at The Prado restaurant. A wonderful day was enjoyed by all.
