Oxbridge Watches raises money for NHS Charities Together
2020 has been an eventful year, one of the positives we have seen is people banding together to help support each other in these challenging times.
One of the many companies that have looked to help support those in medical fields is Oxbridge Watches. A startup founded and ran by Cambridge students, organised a fundraising campaign to raise money for NHS Charities Together.
The Cambridge based team chose to use what resources they could to raise money, by donating one of their University of Cambridge Watches (usually worth £2,895) as a raffle prize for one of the campaign donors.
NHS Charities Together is a collective experience representing, supporting and championing the work of the NHS’ official charities. They also provide the National voice for NHS Charities, champion key projects and themes that best enhance patient care and experience, and the impact NHS Charity funds make. The Oxbridge Watches team chose NHS Charities Together as they have been leading the national fundraising effort across the UK (and beyond) to support healthcare workers during the crisis.
The campaign, with incredible support from students and alumni, managed to hit 50% of their target goal in under 24 hours and raised £1,885 from 97 donors. The Campaign reached the top 5% of fundraising campaigns on the JustGiving platform during May 2020.
The comments throughout the campaign expressed enthusiasm for the NHS:

The campaign ran till the 29 May when the winner was announced and the watch organised for delivery. The campaign raised a total of £1,885 and is still open (even if the raffle isn’t), so if you would still like to donate to a fantastic cause, you can.
