Cambridge is in the top five in two sets of global rankings published in June 2017.
QS World University Rankings
Cambridge is the highest ranked European university in the 2018 edition of the QS World University Rankings in fifth place. The next highest European institution is Oxford in sixth place.

THE World Reputation Rankings
Cambridge holds fourth place in the 2017 edition of the Times Higher Education (THE) World Reputation Rankings, maintaining its position from 2016. This year sees Oxford join Cambridge in fourth place, the highest entry amongst European institutions, up one place from fifth last year.
