A great evening at the Ritz, where we could sit outside for the first time this season. As usual, everyone was friendly, interesting and smart. A message from someone nervous to attend because they didn't know anyone indicates that some reassurance is needed: these gatherings are very warm, informal and open - you can safely turn up alone and have a good time.
