Talk with Olympian Cath Bishop
Talk with Olympian Cath Bishop
The Ospreys are excited to announce the sign up for their first Speaker’s event of the year is open! Covid restrictions mean you can't meet in person but they're not going to let that stop them - the event will instead be held via Zoom. On the upside this allows the Ospreys to have more people attending and a wider range of current and alumni Ospreys to enjoy the talks.
Their first speaker will be Olympic silver medallist and World Champion, Cath Bishop (Pembroke College 1989).
Speakers
Dr Cath Bishop (Pembroke 1989)
Cath studied Modern Languages at Pembroke College and started rowing in her first year. She made the CUWBC Blue Boat in her second and final year and went on to row in the British Olympic rowing team for a decade. Winning a World Championships gold medal and Olympic silver medal with Katherine Grainger in the coxless pair were highlights of her sporting career. She then worked as a diplomat in the Foreign Office, specialising in stabilisation policy and practice in conflict hotspots around the world. She now works as a business coach, consultant and speaker. Most recently Cath has written a book, “The Long Win: The search for a better way to succeed”, using her experience and insights as a business coach to identify mindsets, cultures and behaviours that underpin high performance and leadership.
