Norfolk - Visit to National Horseracing Museum
Alumni and guests are invited to join the Norfolk Cambridge Society a visit to the National Horseracing Museum.
The National Horseracing Museum in the Trainer’s House and King’s Yard Galleries tells the story of horseracing including the breeding of the thoroughbred and displays of silverware and silks worn by famous jockeys. The Palace House, which was part of the accommodation used by Charles II, houses an art gallery with works by Stubbs, Munnings, Singer Sargent, and many others. Finally, in the Rothschild Yard, former racehorses are retrained and there will be the opportunity for a special behind-the-scenes visit to see the horses.
