Alumni and guests are invited to join the Norfolk Cambridge Society for a walk looking at evidence of Norwich's hidden industrial past.

The walk will be led by Dr Mary Fewster, who has taught at the School for Continuing Education at UEA and is a member of the Norfolk Historic Buildings Group. She will provide diagrams and maps a few days before, which will help us to pinpoint the sites of the old factories along the river. So many names spring to mind: Startrite, Boulton and Paul and Caley’s to mention but three. The tour will start at 2.00pm at the top of Queens Street, outside St. Michael at Plea Church. Most of the walk, lasting approximately one and a half hours, will be north of the river but it will finish outside the Bridewell.

The group size will be limited to 10. At present, there are two remaining places on this walk.
