Alumni and guests are invited to join the Northumbrian Cambridge Association for their annual general meeting, buffet dinner followed by a lecture given by Sir Liam Donaldson.

Sir Liam Donaldson, former Chief Medical Officer for England and Chancellor of Newcastle University, is currently the World Health Organisation Envoy for Patient Safety and Chairman of the Independent Monitoring Board for the Global Polio Eradication Programme. In the UK, he is Chair of the Integrated Care Board for the North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care System, Professor of Public Health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, Honorary Distinguished Professor at Cardiff University, and Associate Fellow in the Centre on Global Health Security at Chatham House. We look forward very much to Sir Liam’s highly topical lecture, which is entitled ‘Today's NHS: Challenges and Opportunities’.
