You and your guests are invited to join the Cambridge Society of Luxembourg for their Oxbridge & family get-together, where you can enjoy a BBQ, picnic, cricket, and croquet.

One advantage of the enforced change of date is that the Trois-Frontières women’s team could provide a game against a combined Cambridge and Oxford side between 3 and 5 p.m.This would mean that if the 3 cricketers in the Wykes family can be joined by just 4 other cricketing members there would be the spectacle of a proper cricket match for those attending, and of course, the more the merrier would be in order too.

The event will take place at the Evrange Oval and Schuman Farm. We will follow the successful ‘bring your own picnic’ formula. We invite, therefore, all participants to bring whatever you would like to eat. We will have a supervised BBQ for people who bring food that requires grilling, and there will be tables and benches, but please remember to bring your own crockery and cutlery, including cups, beakers. Let’s make this event as green as possible, please avoid disposable plastic plates, beakers, cutlery, etc. We will not be providing any disposable plastic items

This year, as previously announced, we will provide Pimms according to our tried and trusted recipe, and water, but you should bring yourselves any other drinks that you want to consume. You should take away your empties.

We will provide Crickets bats, balls, pads and wickets, and we encourage everyone to have a go. As mentioned above, we are hoping that there will be a proper cricket match, but something will be arranged that works for people of all levels, from those who haven’t played before right up to those who bring their own whites, bats and pads

Children are of course welcome, and are guaranteed a great time!! So don’t be shy, put your name forward, and enjoy yourself. And remember that cricket is no longer just a game for the men and the boys.
