Saqib graduated from the University of Oxford in 2002 with a BA (Hons) in Physics. After working for a few years as a Nuclear Physicist, he travelled to Damascus, and later Cairo, spending around 6 years in the Middle East studying the Islamic Sciences, with a particular focus on Qur'anic Studies. He is currently pursuing an MPhil in Islamic Studies and History at the University of Oxford , and has been accepted by the University to continue his research into a DPhil. He is also assisting Prof. Nicolai Sina in editing a volume on the Medinan Qur'an.
