Join Hellenic Cambridge Alumni Association and the Hellenic Mathematical Society for an event with Professor Athanassios S Fokas, Chair in Nonlinear Mathematical Science at the University of Cambridge and member of the Academy of Athens. 

Order of proceedings

7pm Welcome address by the President of HMS, Anargyros Fellouris, Emeritus Professor, National Technical University of Athens and Vassiliki Kouvaki, representative of the Hellenic Association of Alumni University of Cambridge.

7.15pm Georgios Dassios, Emeritus Professor, University of Patras, Associate Member of the Academy of Athens, gives a talk on Athanassios Fokas: a renaissance scientist.

7.50pm Kostis Kalimeris, Post Doctorate Researcher, University of Cambridge.

8pm Haralampos Moutsopoulos, Emeritus Professor, Medical Schools of the Universities of Ioannina and Athens, Member of the Academy of Athens.

8.10pm Yiannis Psychopaidis, Emeritus Professor, School of Fine Arts.

8.20pm Award of honorary plaque to Athanassios Fokas.

8.25pm  Professor Athanassios Fokas, University of Cambridge, Member of the Academy of Athens, gives a talk on Associations: from the specific to general.
