Join Cambridge Society of Edinburgh for their Annual General Meeting.

The meeting agenda and minutes from the 2017 AGM can be viewed under 'Useful documents' below.

Besides the usual business of reviewing the past year and electing chairman and members of the committee, the AGM will also consider and decide whether to adopt a revised constitution, a copy of which also available below.  The proposed revised constitution does not fundamentally change the essential nature of the Society; rather it clarifies how the Society is managed and governed as well as set out appropriate procedures and safeguards for various contingencies.

Please note that Jim Laidlaw (Chairman) stands down at this AGM and that John Naylor is proposed for chairman in his place; Neal Wade (Secretary) has completed a two-year term and is eligible for re-election to the committee; Claudia Duffy has also completed a two-year term but is not standing for re-election; Keith Rutter (Treasurer) and Ian Roberts remain on the committee, having been elected in 2017, as do David Semmens and Matthias Fahrenwaldt; the roles of Secretary and Treasurer are appointments decided by the committee. If you wish to propose or be considered for membership of the Committee or the office of Chairman, please contact the Secretary to the Committee, Neal Wade, via email as soon as possible using the link below.

Please also note that membership of the Society is open to all graduate members of the University of Cambridge and anyone who has other demonstrable connection with the University.  Post implementation of GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) in May, depending on your response, the Society may no longer have use of your contact details.  If you did not respond but wish to continue your membership or indeed wish to join the Society then please contact the Membership Secretary, David Semmens, via email using the link below.
