The Cambridge Society of South Wales warmly invites new students starting a course at Cambridge this autumn for informal drinks in Cardiff before the start of term. This is a great opportunity to prepare for university and make new friends before you arrive.

You can expect to meet alumni, recent graduates and current students, from whom you can get tips and advice for living and studying at Cambridge. There will also be a question and answer session. 

Refreshments: your first non-alcoholic or alcoholic drink will be provided, free of charge. Further drinks and food can be purchased from the venue (cash and credit/debit cards will be accepted)

Guests: it will not be possible to bring a guest

Dress code: wear whatever you feel comfortable in

Directions and transport: the venue is within easy walking distance of Cardiff Central train station. Parking is not available at the venue, although you can be dropped off outside. The nearest car park is the NCP Car Park Cardiff Westgate Street

Please note: although the venue is a members’ club, you will not be expected to become a member of the club or pay a membership fee to attend the event
