Birmingham - Freshers' Event
Birmingham Cambridge Society warmly invites new students starting a course at Cambridge this autumn for informal drinks in Birmingham before the start of term.
This is a great opportunity to prepare for university and make some friends before you arrive. You can expect to meet alumni, recent graduates and current students, from whom you can get tips and advice for living and studying at Cambridge.
Refreshments: soft drinks and nibbles will be provided, free of charge
Guests: you are welcome to bring a guest (e.g. parent, guardian or friend)
Dress code: there is no dress code; please wear whatever you feel comfortable in

Directions, parking and transport links: the venue is located opposite St. Philip’s Cathedral in central Birmingham. The nearest public car park is at Snow Hill train station on Livery Street. The venue is just 2-3 minutes walk away from Snow Hill train station along Colmore Row, heading towards St. Philip's Cathedral. The venue is a 10-15 minute walk from New Street station. Exit the station via the new Stephenson Street, walk straight onto Lower Temple Street (there is a Tesco on the right), continue walking to the top of the road. Cross the road onto Temple Row (the St. Philip’s Cathedral will be in front), walk across to the other side of the St. Philip’s Cathedral and as you exit onto Colmore Row, the venue is directly in front.
