Berlin - Freshers' Event
German Cambridge Society warmly invites new students starting a course at Cambridge this autumn for informal drinks in Berlin before the start of term. This is a great opportunity to prepare for university and make new friends before you arrive.
You can expect to meet alumni and recent graduates, from whom you can get tips and advice for living and studying at Cambridge.
Professor Nicola Padfield will be giving a presentation on the implciations of Brexit.
There will also be a question and answer session.
Refreshments: non-alcoholic and alcholic drinks and nibbles will be provided and are included in the entrance fee
Guests: you are welcome to bring a guest (such as a parent, guardian or friend)
Dress code: wear whatever you feel comfortable in

Please note: the venue is the workplace of a member of the Alumni Group hosting the event
Directions:
By car: parking in the underground car park of the Hotel Waldorf Astoria is free of charge for clients. Please drive up to the hotel entrance and use the hotel valet parking provided
By train: SammlerUsinger office is located directly opposite the Berlin Zoologischer Garten train station. Regional trains and the S-Bahn stop at this station. If you travel by ICE or with other long-distance trains, please disembark at Berlin’s Hauptbahnhof, change to the S-Bahn and continue three stations to Zoologischer Garten
By bus or underground: in addition to the S-Bahn station Zoologischer Garten, there are also two underground stations in the office’s immediate vicinity. Please take the U2 or the U9 to Zoologischer Garten. A dozen bus routes include stops at Hardenbergplatz. The U1 and the U9 stop at the Kurfürstendamm station, and additional bus routes also provide services along the Kurfürstendamm
From Berlin’s airports: if you arrive at Berlin-Tegel (TXL), please take the express bus X9 directly to Zoologischer Garten. If you arrive at Berlin-Schönefeld (SXF), please use the direct S-Bahn link to Zoologischer Garten
