Barcelona - The social aspects of disease
Illness or health have been approached, mainly, from epidemiology or health sciences. Currently, there is a growing interest, further accentuated by the COVID-19 pandemic, in the social aspects of the disease: its determinants, from childhood to adulthood, and the social consequences of poor health Aspects related to obesity, smoking or deaths due to despair and mental health put the focus in this area. The debate will deal with these aspects and the long-term repercussions on life expectancy.
