Professor Jürgen Neuberg

Professor of Physical Volcanology, School of Earth & Environment at the University of Leeds.

His research interests focus on monitoring and modelling of volcanic systems with the aim to migrate volcanic risk. He is chairing the Scientific Advisory Committee of the British Government on the volcanic activity of Montserrat, West Indies.

Prior to joining the University of Leeds he lived in Indoneisa for two years setting up a Master Program in Geophysics at Gajah mada university in Yogyakarta within the frame work of a German Developing Aid program.

Since at Leeds, he carried out several international reserch projects in Java and Bali.
