Alumni and guests are invited to join the Gloucestershire Cambridge Society for a Tour of Cotswold Distillery and Hook Norton Brewery and Museum.

The Cotswold Distillery released its first bottling of whisky less than two years ago. This is a great opportunity to get inside the Cotswolds’ first ever (legal) distillery and to learn about this unique project. They also distill a pretty mean range of gins, too. It’s a delightful location and will be very interesting.

Following that, we move across to the Hook Norton Brewery and Museum, where we can enjoy a light lunch in their Malthouse Kitchen. And then we tour the splendid early Victorian Hook Norton brewery and museum – Hooky being one of the finest Cotswold beers. It’s an iconic place, and really worth a visit. They even still have the dray horses which, when I worked in Bloxham School many years ago, used to bring over the beer to supply the Sixth Form Bar above the cricket pavilion – those were the days.

On top of all that, a great chance to bring home a few bottle-shaped samples for yourself and gifts for your friends.
