Melbourne - Speeches at Speed
Melbourne - Speeches at Speed
Alumni and guests are invited to come along and join the Cambridge Society of Australia (Victoria), speeches at speed.
Yet again the speaker has been thwarted at the last moment. Katie Allen has been rescheduled for early February.
In lieu of her talk we have decided to proceed with the lunch and to reconvene Speeches at Speed, where three speakers chosen entirely at random and with no coercion whatsoever, will give a 5-10 minute talk on their chosen subject.
So you will learn about the following wide range of topics:
- Green Steel - Fact or Fiction? - by Jerry Platt
- Why whales strand en masse - by Peter Paines
- A revised opinion of politics in South America - by Raul Sanchez-Urbarri (this talk will include that rarest of all things; an apology by the speaker for being so wrong last time!)
So come along and broaden your knowledge base in convivial company. The venue promises a traditional Christmas Lunch with turkey and plum pudding.
