Alumni and guests are invited to join the Cambridge Society of Hereford and Worcester, for lunch at Feli's Bar and Restaurant followed by a visit to the "Envirosort" materials reclamation facility.

1. Visit.

Severn Waste’s "Envirosort" materials reclamation facility at 2 p.m. at: Woodbury Lane, Norton, Worcester WR5 2PU

Over 70,000 tonnes of household waste from Worcestershire and Herefordshire is sorted for recycling each year at Envirosort. We shall view the enterprise from a platform which accommodates twelve persons, including a maximum of one wheelchair. A total of 24 people can be included in the visit, as two groups of twelve can alternate between platform and "classroom". The accompanying leaflet gives further information about visits. Parking is available on site and the visit is anticipated to take around two hours.

2. Lunch.

Meeting around 12 noon for 12.30 meal at: Feli’s Bar and Restaurant, Hawbridge, Stoulton, Worcester WR7 4RJ.

Since the visit is actually free of charge, we are going a little upmarket for our lunch on this occasion. Felice Tocchini is an award-winning chef and restaurateur; his establishment was previously Fusion Brasserie and is located at the former Bird in Hand public house in Hawbridge. This is a few minutes’ drive from the Severn waste site. It will open especially for us and we shall have the place to ourselves. He has provided a very interesting set of menu selections, including vegetarian and gluten-free options, (see booking form for details), excluding drinks at the bar, but coffee and tea are include in the price. Tap water will be available. Lunch will be at 12.30 with the restaurant open from 12.00 noon, so we can meet, chat and order drinks.
