For the twelfth successive year, the Oxford and Cambridge Society of Austria, are pleased to invite you, your family and your friends to another evening at Vienna’s English Theatre.

The production we will have the pleasure of seeing this year will be: Art by Yasmina Reza translated by Christopher Hampton, Olivier Award for Best New Comedy 1998, Tony Award for Best New Play 1998, at the English Theatre.

This will be the second play by the brilliant French playwright, Yasmina Reza, which our Society will have seen at the English Theatre (some of you may remember seeing “God of Carnage” with us in 2010). This witty, intelligent comedy, involving three friends and a white painting, has enjoyed universal success since its first performance in Paris in 1994 and has been translated and performed in over 30 languages. More information about the play can be found on the theatre’s website www.englishtheatre.at.

We have again reserved the whole of the balcony for this performance.  For the first time in several years the theatre has slightly increased its prices for the seats and for catering.   However, this play will be performed without an interval, when we would normally be served with refreshments.
