Toronto - Oxford vs Cambridge Alumni Cricket Match
Toronto - Oxford vs Cambridge Alumni Cricket Match
The game will be played at the Lords Ground at Upper Canada College right here in Toronto. Upper Canada College previously hosted the game for many years and it is very exciting to be playing the game at UCC again. The 40th anniversary will be marked with a new trophy called the 'Michener-Bredin Trophy'. This marks the contributions of two of the founders and instrumental characters of the game Terence Bredin and Roland Michener. The trophy has generously been funded by alumni of the cricket match as well as a contribution from the Oxford and Cambridge Society of Toronto.
Match details include:
• 25 overs each side, red ball, whites
• Tea break between innings - food and drinks provided
• Match fee ~$25 for players only, no fee for spectators
The game is open to all levels of players, young and old, as well as spectators who would like to enjoy watching the game. As part of the day's festivities I would like to put together some stories and photos from previous year's games.
