Join Northumbrian Cambridge Association for a festive Afternoon Tea and private screening of Joyeux Nöel (2005) at Tyneside Cinema's beautifully decorated digital lounge.

Over the last four years, this tradition has become a firm favourite and is the perfect way to spend a winter afternoon in the run up to Christmas!

This year's film Joyeux Nöel (2005) is directed by Christian Carion and was nominated for the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film in 2016. It is a fictionalised version of the World War I Christmas truce of December 1914, depicted through the eyes of the French, British and German soldiers (subtitled). Expertly directed, beautifully filmed, and with moving scenes, this is a rare cinematic species - a 'feel-good' (anti-war) film!

Venue: Digital Lounge, Tyneside Cinema, 10 Pilgrim Street, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 6QG
