For this year's Ramadan speaker and Iftar event, the Oxbridge Muslim Alumni (OMA) invite alumni and guests to join them at SOAS in London.

The event will start promptly at 8pm in SOAS with a speech by Dr Naheed Khan on 'The Benefits of Fasting: A Neurologist's Perspective'. This will outline the medicinal benefits and scientific basis of fasting, how to prepare in advance, and how to get through each fast successfully in the holy month of Ramadan. Following the speech, we will then move to the Ramadan Tent Project, in order to break our fast.

The Ramadan Tent Project is an award-winning initiative, run by volunteers collaborating together to bring the general public and the less fortunate to break their fast together during Ramadan. Held in the heart of London, this project helps engender a beautiful Ramadan atmosphere, as well as a warm community spirit and continued charitable service to those in need.
