Hear from Dr Phil Judkins about the story of three convoys during World War II: one transatlantic, one to Russia and one to Malta, each illustrating particular features of the critical series of battles, which Churchill admitted to having been 'the only thing which frightened him in the whole War'. Enigma decrypts, radar, high frequency direction finding, escort carriers and the various U-Boat strategies against them will all be discussed during the talk.

Lunch can be ordered and paid for on the day, at the bar.
