The Gloucestershire Cambridge Society are really delighted to welcome Dr Rowan Williams, Master of Magdalene College, as their Guest Speaker for the 2017 Annual Dinner on Saturday, 18 November.

Dr Williams served, of course, as Archbishop of Canterbury 2002-2012. Widely regarded as one of the great theologians of our time (try his God With Us), he is also a remarkable linguist (he studied Russian just to read Dostoyevsky in the original), poet, historian and social-cultural-political commentator. This will be an exceptional, even unique occasion – one not to be missed.

Dress: Black Tie

You will also like to know that Dr Williams will preach at the 10.15am Eucharist Service in Gloucester Cathedral the next morning, Sunday 19 November. You are of course warmly welcome to attend the Service.
