Geneva - Chasse Dinner
Geneva - Chasse Dinner
Alumni and guests are invited to the Oxford and Cambridge Club of Geneva's annual chasse dinner, preceded by a wine tasting on Soral.
Soral, a part of the oddly-named “Champagne genevoise,” is an unspoiled village dominated by wine growing.
We have foreseen a wine tasting/aperitif in Soral to precede the dinner. We are expected at the Cave des Chevaliers which at chemin du Placet 8 (tel. 079 417 7169) is just a few minutes’ walk from the restaurant, from 18h00. M. Sébastien Dupraz will present products from their range, and show us around the winery.
The dinner menu at the Restaurant de la Fontaine will be as follows:
Petite mise en bouche
*****
Cafe
******
Wines
Réserve Café Fontaine (rouge et blanc)

Location
Access to the Cave des Chevaliers and the Restaurant de la Fontaine is possible by public transport. From the centre, take tram 14 to Bernex Park & Ride. From there, bus L (direction Avusy/Athénaz) takes you to Soral Village (departures from Bel-Air at 17:16 and 17:39). Returns are hourly from 20:19 to 00:19. As with all Geneva country buses, service is somewhat irregular, as well as infrequent in the late evening. Users should consult the TPG or CFF sites.
Parking near the restaurant and winery is on the street. There is a parking lot just beyond the restaurant. Soral is reached via Bernex (motorway, or from Onex)) then Lully or Laconnex.
