The Cambridge Society of Edinburgh are delighted to invite you to the 2024 Cambridge Society of Edinburgh Dinner, which will be held in the New Club, Edinburgh on Tuesday 5th March, at 6.30 for 7pm.

Our guest and speaker will be Sir Christopher Greenwood, Master of Magdalene College. Sir Christopher studied law at Magdalene, was President of the Union in 1976, and became a Fellow of the College in 1978. He subsequently became Professor of International Law at LSE, his specialism being in international humanitarian law. He became a QC in 1999, and was elected by the UN as a Judge of the International Court of Justice in 2008, serving until 2018. Sir Christopher returned to Magdalene as Master in 2020. He has been involved in numerous high profile cases in UK and international courts, and his remarks will be particularly relevant in the context of current conflicts.

Tickets are available to members of the Cambridge Society of Edinburgh and their guests and include a three course dinner, pre-dinner drinks and wine or soft drinks. They are priced at £80 each, with those under the age of 35 entitled to a reduced rate of £70. A cash bar will also be available.
