Alumni and guests are invited to join the Cambridge Society of Dorset for an online talk by Mr Andrew McIrvine FRCS - Nelson's injuries from a modern perspective.

Our next online talk titled, “Nelson’s injuries-from a modern perspective”, will be given by Mr Andrew McIrvine, a surgeon with considerable experience of both trauma and the sea. Andrew also has a passion for sailing, racing in both inshore and offshore waters. Andrew went on to become Admiral of the Royal Ocean Racing Club and is intimately involved with offshore racing worldwide. His talk will cover a modern perspective and the historical significance of Nelson’s injuries and likely mention Nelsonian connections with Dorset.
