Alumni and guests are invited to join the Oxford and Cambridge Alumni Society, Czech Republic for their first discussion of 2018 with Daniel Bartoň.
The subject will be a hot topic of the decision of the Municipal Court of Prague upholding the right of the Prague Medical High School to ban students from wearing hijab (head scarf). For more information please read an article by Daniel Bartoň on Jiné Právo blog. According to Dan, the ban may constitute an indirect discrimination. Come and tell us your view on the ban. Daniel Bartoň is an OCAS member and graduate of Cambridge where he specialized in human rights law. He is a qualified Czech attorney with keen interest in EU law and human rights.
