Controversy. Empowerment for the disenfranchised. Shaw. In a world where women have no legal rights, the mysterious Mrs. Warren has built a global empire. When her daughter, young Vivie Warren, is emancipated, she is shocked to learn how her mother rose from poverty through the manipulation of a hypocritical society that rewards vice and oppresses virtue. When Mrs. Warren’s Profession premiered in New York in 1905 the entire cast was arrested on opening night. What will happen when Bedlam Artistic Director Eric Tucker rips open Shaw’s timeless wit in this scandalous comedy?

Tickets are $103. Members are welcome to gather for dinner (pay your own) at 5:30pm at a terrific pub in Central Square. The 730 Tavern is at 730 Massachusetts Avenue, just a 5-block, 9-minute walk from the theater.

There is metered on-street parking on Massachusetts Avenue. There is also parking at the lot at 9 Pleasant Street, which is nearby and one block off Massachusetts Avenue.
