Alumni and guests are invited to join the Oxford and Cambridge Society UAE, for this year's Oxford and Cambridge boat race. Come along and watch your University with other Oxbridge alumni, our event will be held ‘On the Beach’ at The Club, Abu Dhabi. The Club, which has for the past years been totally responsible for all the decoration as well as the catering at our function, will again be the setting of this very popular facility, a private enclosed venue which is excellently decorated to suit the function and which we have used very successfully in the past years. A large screen will again be installed to show ‘live’ both ladies and men’s races on the Thames. The sand on the beach is watered and well compacted but ladies are recommended to wear low heels.

Dress Code: Smart casual, ‘Blues’ blazer (Rowing or otherwise), College ‘Colour’ blazer or National dress

Travel: For those coming from Dubai and the Northern Emirates, a free coach is being provided from Ibn Battuta Mall to The Club and back to the mall at the end of the evening. Do seriously consider using this as, over the years the invariably full coach has become a means of starting the ‘party spirit’ early and a comfortable ‘sleeper’ on the way back.
