From temples to forts to gardens to scenery to cities, there was an enormous variety of experiences and sights. The packed itinerary ensured we saw historic monuments and art from a variety of ancient civilisations as well as modern life in the busy vibrant southern Indian cities. Highlights also included seeing so many spices and other foodstuffs in their natural environments.
