This was a wonderful trip, in the most literal sense! The itinerary was busy, but allowed time to enjoy the many sites visited. We had a truly excellent local guide who with the trip scholar, knew the best spots to see the geology and wildlife.

It was a small group, with just six alumni plus the trip scholar and his wife, but we quickly gelled into a very happy band, with much humour and support for each other. Having a like-minded small group of people to share the experiences with definitely adds to the enjoyment of a trip like this.

Our trip scholar, Professor Bob White, was the perfect companion. His evening lectures and talks on-site were informative and entertaining, at the right level for the group.

This was our second alumni trip and I’m sure it won’t be our last.
