The University of Cambridge has maintained its position as the top university in the UK for the third consecutive year, according to the Complete University Guide.

Cambridge leads in research intensity and quality and ranks in the top 10 across 42 academic subjects. In the 2026 QS World University Rankings by Quacquarelli Symonds, Cambridge is ranked 6th globally out of 1,501 institutions, including 112 new entrants from 106 locations worldwide.
