Oxford Region Girtonians

Oxford Region Girtonians

The Oxford Region Girtonians is an association for past and present members of Girton who live in the area around Oxford (mainly in Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire). Girtonians, alumni of other Cambridge colleges and their guests are welcome to any of our activities.

Each year we hold two or three lecture meetings with invited speakers, usually in Oxford on a Saturday afternoon. Members and their guests meet for a pub lunch in December and we also undertake a summer outing with a visit to some local place of interest as well as lunch. We keep in touch with our neighbouring associations in London and Wales and the West of England and have been pleased to attend some of their events, or welcome their members to ours. A six-monthly newsletter keeps members informed of all these activities, as well as news from Girton.
