Cambridge Society of Edinburgh

Cambridge Society of Edinburgh

  • Edinburgh castle

The Society organises about 10 events in and around Edinburgh each year. These include informal lunches, with and without speakers, a formal Annual Dinner, usually in May, and various visits and presentations on topics of interest. Recent visits have included the Royal Botanic Garden, Edinburgh, Library of Mistakes Abbotsford House and the National Library of Scotland. Our AGM takes place in November. We also organise a Freshers’ evening in late September for the benefit of local undergraduates who are about to go up to Cambridge and an annual boat race event – typically with the Oxford University Society of Edinburgh.

Typically about 25 members attend each of our events and we are keen to encourage more of our current 300+ members to get involved. If you would like to be added to the mailing list to ensure that you hear about events coming up then please get in touch. We will be very pleased to hear from any graduates who find themselves for longer or shorter stays in the Edinburgh area. We would also like to hear from you if you are interested in making a contribution, either as a presenter or as a (corporate) host for events.
