The society invites you to a show written and performed by Cambridge Alumni. Gina Stock has been appointed the new General Manager of the Southwold Arts Centre after graduating last year and is the Director of the show.

‘Written by Nat Riches (Trinity, 2022) and Natasha Atkinson (Downing, 2021), and directed by Gina Stock (Downing, 2021), 1816 is Byron and Shelley, as you've never seen them before, in this Friends meets Frankenstein comedy-drama musical. Trapped indoors by torrential rain, legendary writers Byron, Percy and Mary Shelley and their friends, Polidori and Claire search for inspiration by the gloomy Lake Geneva. Driven by a desire for escapism, they challenge one another to create the best ghost story... but things fall apart the longer they are stuck together. Retold from a new perspective, John Polidori’s diary is brought to life in 1816.
