This year has been a challenging one for all property markets, and the residential sales market is no exception. After a bumper few years to 2022, interest rates are now acting as a brake on pricing. On the flip side, demand in the rental sector remains extremely strong. CULS’ residential forecasts event will examine what’s ahead for the market in 2024 and beyond, and how market dynamics,  policy and the economic backdrop will affect capital values, rents, yields and the wider property landscape in the coming years.

Chair: Lucian Cook, Head of Residential Research, Savills

Lucian leads a team of 31 researchers, who cover everything from social housing to the prime markets of central London and development land to residential Investment. He has been at Savills since 1993 and a director of the research team since 2007. He is one of the most quoted commentators on the UK housing market.
