London, Chinese New Year Dinner 2026
London, Chinese New Year Dinner 2026
We are hosting a special dim sum dinner at Peacock London on the south bank of the River Thames, overlooking the iconic Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. Join us for a festive evening to celebrate Chinese New Year and welcome the Year of the Horse in the company of fellow Society members and friends. We will meet from 6:30pm for dinner at 7:00pm.
New Year is a festival rooted in Chinese tradition. The horse in Chinese Zodiac symbolises freedom, energy, independence and success. A Horse Year is seen as a time for breaking free from limitations, embracing adventure and stepping into the spotlight, marked by powerful, outward-moving energy. With delicious food, convivial company and a nod to Chinese cultural heritage, the evening promises to be as inspiring as it is celebratory.
For the evening we will enjoy Chinese tea and a sumptuous banquet featuring fifteen selected dim sum dishes, each rich with symbolic meaning for prosperity, strength, wealth and harmony for the year ahead. In fairness to all, there will be opportunity to purchase drinks throughout the evening so that each guest can imbibe according to their own wishes and means.
What’s more, there will be a prize draw during the evening, with three festival prizes to be given away to three lucky individuals.
Dress code: casual but all shades of red are welcome as the colour red is associated with many positive meanings in Chinese culture and is believed to bring food future and ward off evil spirits as well as invite prosperity and happiness for the upcoming year.
The evening is not to be missed – early booking is recommended to secure your place.
