The Cambridge Society of Lincoln warmly invites invites you to a talk this January at the Lincoln Bishop University!

Based on the author’s recent award-winning book, David Drewry describes the ambitious and often hazardous airborne expeditions to learn and map what lies beneath the 5km thick ice sheet – a land twice the size of Australia.

Prof. David J. Drewry
David Drewry is Honorary Fellow at Emmanuel College, Cambridge University where he was previously Director of the Scott Polar Research Institute and later Director of the British Antarctic Survey. David has research interests in glaciology and climate change. and holds a Doctorate in Geophysics from Cambridge. David is Chief Scientific Advisor at the UK Commission for UNESCO, Trustee Emeritus of the Natural History Museum in London and was Vice-Chancellor of Hull University (1999-2009). 
David has been awarded the Polar Medal and has a mountain and a glacier named after him in Antarctica.
