Alumni and guests are invited to join the Oxford and Cambridge Society of Hamburg for a tour of the Museum für Völkerkunde and its extensive ethnographic collections.

The tour (in German) takes a critical look at how museums of this kind began operating and the assumptions on which they based their activities; it also explains how the museum is now engaging with the descendents of groups who were the subject of colonial-era interest.

The Society will also make a reservation at a nearby restaurant for dinner afterwards.
