Dorset - Annual Lunch and AGM
Alumni and guests are invited to join the Cambridge Society of Dorset for their annual lunch and brief AGM, hosted at Bryanston School, Blandford Forum on 26th October
They are delighted to announce the guest speaker as Professor Adrian Dixon, former Master of Peterhouse.
Professor Adrian Dixon, former Master of Peterhouse and Emeritus Professor of Radiology at Cambridge, who will talk on ‘Cambridge: Town, Hospital, Gown’. Prof Dixon comes from a Cambridge family and read medicine at King’s, graduating in 1969. He continued his studies and career in London (St Bartholomew’s and Great Ormond St) and Nottingham, specialising in radiology. He is renowned as a radiologist, particularly for his work on Computer-Assisted and Magnetic Resonance Scanning, as well as being one of the foremost medical educators of his time. He returned to Cambridge in 1979 and became Professor of Radiology at Addenbrooke’s Hospital and a Fellow of Peterhouse. He was elected Master of Peterhouse and served from 2008 to 2016. His long association with Cambridge should make for a fascinating talk on many aspects.
