The Cambridge Society (ACT Branch) would like to invite you to their Oxbridge end of year drinks with guest speaker Professor Tina Dacin (Fellow, Centre for Social Innovation at the Judge Business School and Visiting Fellow at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge).

Professor Dacin holds appointments as Fellow, Centre for Social Innovation at the Judge Business School, Cambridge and Visiting Fellow at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge as well as the Stephen J.R. Smith Chair of Strategy and Organizational Behavior at Smith School of Business, Queen’s University, Canada.  Her research interests include AI and social impact; social entrepreneurship; and traditions, place, and institutions.  Professor Dacin is visiting Canberra in late October/early November 2023 and has kindly agreed to speak to us about her research into dining hall traditions at Cambridge.  This will provide us with a fascinating insight into how these traditions reflect the British class system.  The new President of the Oxford Society of the ACT, Emeritus Professor John Carver, will attend the event and introduce Professor Dacin.
