It is with great pleasure that I write to invite you to attend our very special 87th Anniversary Dinner, which is taking place on Friday 6 November 2026 at the Milner Hotel. We are also holding a very short AGM immediately before the dinner. The AGM starts at 6.30pm in the Boardroom at the hotel. At 7pm we have a drinks reception, with dinner starting at 7.30pm.

We are delighted to announce our special guest speaker, The Right Honourable Brenda Hale, Baroness Hale of Richmond, who will be speaking about her time at Cambridge and also as President of the Supreme Court. Her talk is entitled: ‘A Richmond lass goes into the law’.

This is the first time the former Cambridge Society of North and West Yorkshire will be joining us, following its closure earlier this year. We do hope to welcome many former members of this group to our event. We are also very keen to welcome new members to join our small committee and help us plan future events for our members. Please do let me know if you would like to join our committee. We meet every couple of months, usually online and organise 5 events each year. 

The dinner is open to all Cambridge Alumni and their guests. Tickets cost £85.00 per person. Please can you return your booking form as soon as possible, indicating clearly if you require the vegetarian alternative and whether or not you have any food allergies, thank you. The deadline for receiving bookings is Monday 19 October 2026, however, the event may become fully subscribed, so please do book by return to avoid disappointment, thank you. 

This is a formal dinner with a black tie dress code. However, please do wear whatever you feel most comfortable in and if you prefer to wear lounge suit, please feel free to do so. We aim to be welcoming and accommodating of everyone.
