Join the Suffolk Cambridge Society Saturday 18th March at 2.30pm at The Guildhall in Bury St Edmunds for a talk by Bridget Kendall on the Ukraine/Russia war and the implications for Europe and Western democracies. Bridget was the BBC’s Global Diplomatic correspondent and has been Master of Peterhouse, Cambridge, since 2016. She was the BBC's Moscow correspondent from 1989 to 1994, and the Washington correspondent from 1994. Bridget is a fluent Russian speaker and has interviewed many world leaders including Vladmir Putin.
The programme for the event is;
2.30pm: Meet at The Guildhall, Guildhall Street IP33 1PR for a 3.00pm start. The Parkway multi-storey car park, IP33 3BA is an 8 minute walk from The Guildhall. 3.00pm: Talk by Bridget Kendall in The Old Court Room on ‘Russia/Ukraine War – Where next?’
4.30pm: Tea/coffee and cake in the Banqueting Hall.
