Continuing our tradition since 2012, we will enjoy the Boat Race day from the first floor of an elegant grade II listed pub in Putney. With our private room – the Wolsey Room – at the Duke’s Head, exceptional company and delightful catering, all the elements are in place for another great Society Boat Race party!

The event opens at 10:30am. There will be the opportunity to meet other guests over some apéritifs before we sit down for our three-course lunch at 12 noon. Having enjoyed a leisurely lunch and convivial company we will move to the windows to enjoy a commanding view of the starting line-up and cheer the start of the women’s race at 2:46pm. Once the boats have moved beyond the first stretch we will turn to our large television screen to watch the whole race unfold. Following the women’s race we will enjoy refreshments while watching the two reserve boat races (Osiris v Blondie and Isis v Goldie). The competitions will conclude with the men’s race at 3:46pm.

After the races the room will remain ours until at least 6pm so “ongoing festivities” are guaranteed. As always, our Cambridge members and their friends will provide the most stimulating company.

The ticket covers entry and food. In fairness to all there will be a cash bar throughout so that each can imbibe according to his or her wishes (and means).

As part of the booking process, please indicate if you or your guest have any dietary requirements necessitating adjustment.

Not to be missed! Early booking is strongly recommended.
