London: Pottery Painting Party
London: Pottery Painting Party
Join us for a relaxed and creative evening as we take over the studio at Bonbon Pottery in Notting Hill for an exclusive Cambridge Society of London event.
This is a chance to try something a little different: no prior experience required, no pressure to produce a masterpiece – just an opportunity to unwind, get creative and enjoy the company of fellow members in a friendly and informal setting.
Each guest will have up to 2.5 hours in the studio, with the venue exclusively ours for the session. You will be able to choose a ready-made pottery item (up to the value of £30) to paint, with a demonstration at the start to help get ideas flowing and techniques underway. All materials are provided, along with full glazing and firing after the event.
Your finished piece will be professionally fired to create a glossy, food-safe and waterproof finish. This process typically takes around two weeks (occasionally up to four), after which you will be notified to collect your piece from the same studio. If more convenient, a postage option is available directly from the studio at an additional cost of £9.99 payable on the day.
One complimentary non-alcoholic drink will be provided for each guest. To keep the event as accessible as possible we won’t be providing any further catering. However, everyone is welcome to bring their own food and drinks if they wish.
For those feeling inspired or a little more adventurous, there will also be the option on the day to upgrade your chosen item beyond the £30 allowance by paying the difference directly to the studio. Please see the photos below that show what items they currently have in stock (subject to availability) and the respective costs.
This should be an enjoyable and sociable evening, offering a different way to meet fellow members and try your hand at something creative – whether you are artistically inclined or simply curious. Spaces are limited to 36 so we do recommend booking early.
